Second ep for Ghost Horizon, solo project of Phoenix musician Daniel Stollings, under the banner of an atmospheric black that alternates with a more dreamy shoegaze. The four songs presented in The Erotics Of Disgust sway between these two drives, with a prevalence for the second, with the exception of the final Whispers, which is instead a very little melodic rant aimed at expressing the impressions of our far from positive about the existence in the broadest sense. The softer passages are good, characterized by a good melodic taste, with the only defect of a clean voice not always perfectly in tune, while the harsher moments go to touch the depressive, to dissolve sometimes in cascadian solutions, proving useful to play the role of counterbalance against the liquid blackgaze-type gait. They are really appreciable, however, the melodic cues that dot the other three tracks, starting from Radiant Eyes, going to build a test altogether appreciable whose merits and defects will obviously be re-evaluated on the occasion of an output of more conspicuous length.
