Aki Klemm, aka Grim666, after offering some good evidence on long distance between 2015 and 2016, returns with a new work titled From The Barren Womb Of Night under the name Grimirg. The Finnish musician’s sound follows well delineated patterns without any particular variations on the theme, but everything happens with great competence and melodic taste, giving the listener a few dozen minutes of pleasantly melancholic and enveloping music, maybe without reaching the emotional peaks of tutelary deities such as Shape Of Despair or Ea, but also never descending below a well more than acceptable standard. This is a series of good reasons not to set aside in a hasty way this valid solo project dedicated to funeral.
