After the funeral interlude represented by the wonderful Kuura, which afterwards turned out to be a solo album of the leader Saku Moilanen released under the band’s name, Red Moon Architect come back to what they have been doing very well for the last ten years, that is a melodic death doom turned towards gothic thanks to the female voice. Emptiness Weighs the Most is the fifth full length (also taking into account Kuura) published by the Finnish band and it turns out to be yet another unexceptionable proof of admirable inlay between roughness and soft and melodic melancholy. If you love the subgenre there are absolutely no contraindications in making this work your own, because Red Moon Architect confirm themselves among the most credible and effective perpetuators of a musical form brought to the highest levels in the new century especially by Draconian.
