Mother Of Graves, a band from Indianapolis, made their debut at the beginning of the year, attracting a lot of attention with their ep In Somber Dreams. Despite the fact that the quintet comes from the city that is the symbol of speed on four wheels, the subgenre offered is a melodic death doom of very good quality, never excessively slowed down but always in a perfect balance between the brutal pace of death and the melancholic mark of doom; the four tracks are about twenty minutes long, well performed and adequately rendered from the sound point of view thanks to Dan Swanö’s mastering. A convincing growl and an effective teamwork put Mother Of Graves in a position to be launched with a desirable next long-distance work.
