Arcane Voidsplitter is one of the most recent projects of the indefatigable Stijn Van Cauter, having been started in 2017. Cold Stars is the fourth full length and continues the path traced with the previous works, namely that of an ambient doom with cosmic connotations; three tracks for over an hour of music accompany the listener on a new interplanetary journey aboard a spaceship launched towards infinite and unexplored spaces. If with his main creature Until Death Overtakes Me the Belgian musician performs at the highest levels in the funeral sphere, with Arcane Voidsplitter he draws sap from Brian Eno’s teaching in Apollo, integrating it with the sensitivity of someone who has been handling doom in all its forms for twenty years. A valuable work obviously aimed at those familiar with these sounds.
