This is not always the case, but often reissues of past albums by bands achieve results that are truly worthy of attention; this happens, above all, when the albums in question are re-recorded, using new technologies or at least taking advantage of a different line-up composition in addition to the maturation of the founding members themselves. Aava tuulen maa, dating back to 2009, is probably the most important work composed by Kauan, a creature of Russian Anton Belov that has acquired cult status among groups dedicated to the atmospheric post-metal with more melancholic traits. In fact, here we are in front of an authentic sonic jewel, able from the first to the last minute to provoke emotions in profusion without ever becoming cloying, despite the extreme component is practically reduced to the bare minimum; this is certainly the best opportunity to make one’s own, for those who may not yet know him, an album of this magnitude and take advantage of the opportunity to discover the work of this talented musician. On the other hand, the entire production under the Kauan name is practically devoid of weak points, being the constant display from the first to the last disc of a music of tenuous pastel colours, but capable of leaving its imprint for a very long time in the soul of the listeners.
